Not so long ago, choosing a wall finish for a kitchen or bathroom almost always started with tiles. Today, more and more people are looking for a solution that offers similar durability, without the grout lines, the heavy renovation work, or the lengthy installation.

Hence the growing popularity of large-format PVC and SPC wall panels. They're not an attempt to imitate ceramic. They're a category of their own, built to meet different needs: a faster interior refresh, a larger visible pattern, and simpler upkeep.

Why are we moving away from traditional tiles?

Tiles still have their place in interiors, but they're not always the most convenient choice. Installing them means preparing the substrate, cutting numerous pieces and grouting. Change your mind later, and you're back to demolition, dust and rubble.

Wall panels cut down on the number of joints and can cover a large part of the wall with a single element. That gives a calmer stone or marble pattern, and a surface that's easier to keep clean.

Large format changes how a room feels

The biggest difference isn't in the material itself, it's in the scale. A large board shows the full stone pattern without breaking it up with a dense grid of grout lines. A small bathroom looks cleaner as a result, and the wall behind a TV or kitchen worktop can become the centrepiece of the room.

PVC or SPC?

PVC panels are light, thin and convenient for a quick transformation. They work well wherever easy fitting and installation over an existing surface matter most.

SPC panels have a stiffer construction and often use a click connection system. The right choice depends on where they're being installed, the look you want, and how you plan to finish the edges.

Where do wall panels work best?

  • in the bathroom, including around the bath and washbasin, once the joints are properly sealed,
  • in the kitchen, as a finish for the wall above the worktop,
  • in the living room, on a TV wall or as a decorative feature,
  • in hallways and commercial spaces, where easy cleaning matters most.

Order a sample before you decide

A colour on screen can look different in daylight and in the evening. Before choosing, it's worth ordering samples, holding them up against your flooring and furniture, and viewing them in the room where they'll be installed.
